LOOM

A loom is a weaving machine, constructed of wood or metal, in which parallel threads, called warps, are placed and held at both ends. A mechanism raises these threads individually or in groups, forming an opening called a shed, through which the weft passes.”

This Capsule called Loom pieces made on a horizontal loom built by hand with wood.

Different geometric figures are created from strips of leather in different colors, and in others they are organized to create simple colored stripes.

Each piece takes approximately four days to create; first, the leather strips are cut, then tied together to create long, continuous strips needed for loom weaving, then woven, and finally, the final garment is made.

Each garment is unique due to its manual construction and production.
Initially created with the talent of our workshop's artisans, they are passed on to Jany Mercado, a master weaver from San Jacinto, and returned to Andrea Landa's workshop for completion.

This is the result of a team effort where several hands come together to create unique, versatile, loose-fitting pieces, perfect for any occasion.
